Importing and exporting intents for advanced AI agents

Note: This article describes how intents are used in the AI agents - Advanced add-on only. For information about how intents are used in the Copilot add-on, see Automatically detecting customer intent, sentiment, and language.

You may want to either export or import your intents - for example, to synchronize across AI agents, audit your existing content, or to easily translate your existing content for use with your multilingual AI agent. Luckily, we have a feature that can do just that.

Note - There is a 1:1 mapping rule, meaning that if you wish to use this feature to translate, you have to add a new language in the AI agent and duplicate your old replies first. You can learn how to do this in these two articles:

To export intents and download your content:

1. Open your list of Intents from Dashboard > Contents > Intents
2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner, and click Export
3. Your intents will now be downloaded in an .xlsx file

To import intents:

1. Open your list of Intents from Dashboard > Contents > Intents
2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner, and click Import
3. Select the .xlsx file that you have stored your intents in, making sure that you follow the standard format. To see the format, export your current content as described above for reference.
4. Select the language of the intents that you are importing
5. Click Import
